|
I have an IPTV Set-top-box from my ISP (Kaonmedia KSTB3019), which is physically dislocated from my ISP broadband router (Ubee TVW625-0T-000). Since recently, I had a pair of Ruckus devices (vf2811) to bridge the connection from set-top-box to router wireless. Now, one of them broke down and as it happens, I have an old Linksys WRT54GS router with DD-wrt firmware installed, which I configured as a client-bridge, hoping to solve the issue. But I am without luck. Internet is working fine, when I hook up a laptop to my linksys router downstairs (isp broadband router is upstairs), but set-top-box just won't retrieve an Ip from my isp router. Also, it is not visible on clients list on my dd-wrt (my laptop is, however). I have disabled firewall and also unchecked "filter multicast", but also no luck. Is there some specific configuration, I should utilize on dd-wrt, or am I out of luck?
PS: I did notice, when I use Ruckus pair in my configuration instead of WRT54GS, tv box gets some "random" IP, which is not in this subnet (10.***.***.*** something. It looks like WAN IP) and tv actually works, but I can just watch history, not live (obviously some hardware failure).
So, my current configuration:
WWW => TVW625-0T-000 (192.168.1.254) => wifi => WRT54GS (192.168.1.200) => KSTB3019 |
