Same router and f/w here. No problem in the Syslog window, though.
FWIW: The router has been running long enough to have the start of the syslog scrolled into oblivion.

I have switched my R9000's wifi over to DD-RWT type, from VANILLA on this version.
And so far, it seems that DD-WRT wifi type is definitely more acceptable in terms of signal strength and performance since first introduced.
I hope it progresses the same way as of DD-WRT OS. Gradually and surely, DD-WRT wifi type will outshine Netgear's stock wifi one.
It's the reason why we use DD-WRT instead of stock firmware in the first place. _________________ Life is a journey; travel alone makes it less enjoyable and lonely.

Still having firmware crashes for every release since 8/31 r50012 with 5 Ghz WDS between DIR-862L and EA-8500. Having problems on both sides with vanilla firmware so I reverted.

I`m only using 2.4 GHz with my ea8500s on my WDS setup and had steady uptime, over a week on some builds with no crashes. I`m using DD-WRT firmware. Maybe that might narrow it down a little. _________________ ......All GOOD here... Just Handshakes and Time Stamps !......

So I finally got my main gateway EA8500 reset and configured my three vlans via the Startup Commands. Working well so far. I have to admit it was painful and very time consuming to rebuild it from scratch.
I noticed something new on the Setup page. What does the "Use VLAN Priority" switch do? This wasn't present before, at least I had not noticed it anyway. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

It sets the egress mapping by VLAN on the WAN interface, related to QoS (CoS) and 802.1Q.

Okay, thank you! After reading your links, it looks like I would not need this in my case. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

The Load Average on my DLink DIR-862L is pegged at 100% on the status/router page and 1.39, 1.21 and 1.08 is listed on the top right on this build.
The DIR-862L is being used as a switch/router only (AP disabled on both 2.4 and 5GHz, no DHCP, firewall disabled, no other services other than SSH and WAN traffic counter).
I haven't performed a full reset (will do so when I get the chance). Haven't noticed any ill effects on my network though.

ignore that cpu usage on gui, its so inaccurate. instead telnet/ssh login to the router, issue "top" command, look at usage there _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Turn off WAN traffic counter (ttraff?) and disable SFE if you have it enabled. Neither are required for using switch / router mode. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
