You should use "AC/N" as network mode and not "N/A".

Did it.

As channel width 80Mhz

Did it.

As channel you can test the following:

36+UU
52+UU
100+UU
116+UU
132+UU
149+UU

36+UU - Laptop doesn't see 5ghz network
52+UU - Laptop doesn't see 5ghz network
100+UU - Laptop does see 5Ghz but unable to connect
116+UU -Laptop does see 5Ghz but unable to connect
132+UU - Laptop does see 5Ghz but unable to connect
149+UU - Laptop does see 5Ghz but unable to connect

The available channels and transmitting powers depend on the regulatory domain.
You have selected USA as domain.
You should change it to the country you are in.

I will change to my country Ukraine and try again same channels.

upd. changed to Ukraine.

For me only 2.4Ghz has option "domain".

5Ghz doesn't have such option for me.

It is a client limitation. I'm using 149 right now, connected to EX7500 and the extender provides 36 to clients.
I can connect directly to 149 with phones and PCs only luck of the draw for wireless adapters or client tables.

Since the regulatory domain changed, may want to reboot then try connecting clients (hopefully same region).

If you are upgrading over wired Ethernet with webUI, keep the dropdown option selected do not reset.

I upgraded using wifi. Kept option "do not reset".

First verify you are running new build, then consider webUI factory defaults or nvram erase && reboot.

Did it. Thank you. Last build + factory reset.

I have been running r50146 on EA8500 for 8 hours now with no issues both radios and wired Ethernet.

Last build 2.4Ghz works

94 download 77 upload speed, like wired ethernet. It's great!

I am sorry, do you mean limitation from my side ? or my ISP provider?

I understood. I will reboot and try the same channels again.

Kind regards for your time, blkt

He thinks it is a problem with your notebook or the WLAN card in your notebook.

In Ukraine, almost all channels are allowed.
I have my router set to "ukraine" and all clients can connect without problems.

Let me guess your iPhone sees all channels and connects regardless of the channel set?

Please post a screenshot of the "Status > WLAN" tab when the notebook is connected.

Maybe only the reception is too weak...

I can assure you that all channels work.
And this is not the problem of your router if some of your clients do not support all channels.

So the laptops' wireless adapters for example are also bound to regulatory domain, region or country.

This is normal, the regulatory domain setting is global so this changes both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz region.

Yes. My iphone see almost ALL and can connect to almost all channels but laptops can't.

you have to set the interface to wlan1 (5GHz) above.
and i want to see the connected notebook at the bottom of "wireless nodes" Wink

Edit: this is still 20Mhz and not 80Mhz and N/A not AC/N (probably only selected because the notebook does not connect at 80Mhz?)

Both radios default Mixed is fine. N / G Mixed and AC / N Mixed should be good too. N / A Mixed bad!

Yes. I tried AC/N 80 Mhz but it doesn't work for me. Unable to connect or laptop doesn't see 5Ghz

Please just use the defaults, wireless network mode Mixed, otherwise the safest and most compatible settings.
Can you tell us about wireless network adapters in these laptops? For example, I have Intel AC 8265 & AX100.

This is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 card.
Tatsuya has one of these and uses it as an AP.

This is an AC Wave2 card.
It should work with 80Mhz and 866Mbit without any problems.
If not any bad drivers are used.

one can only be surprised about the problems
