Router/Version: Linksys EA8500
File: dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin
Reset: No
Status: all good - AP/Gateway, Static Leases, MAC Filtering, Ondemand Governor
Updated from r49976 to r50012
Update Sucessful.
No issues noted.
Checked the Switch Config - looks fine - VLAN2 blank as last line.

BUT: looked at same in Marvel WRT1900ACv1 - there were 12 or 13 extra VLAN - all blank
So I used the "-" button to remove some of them and Applied Changes.
Now the WRT1900ACv1 is bricked.
EDIT - recovered + restored - leaving all those blank VLAN rows alone!
Yes - other forum - but related - I wouldn't risk removing a blank VLAN line on my EA8500!

15 VLANs, 1 VAP, br0 and br1?

Per Yngve Berg wrote:
It's in the nvram variable portvlan_count.

nvram set portvlan_count=3
nvram commit

will set it to 3.

You can then check
Code:
nvram show | grep portvlanlist

and it should be
Code:
portvlanlist=0 1 2

Yes, 0-15 VLAN (=16), only VLAN 1 & 2 in use
Best left alone - at least by me!

Hello having the following issues:

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r50012 std (08/31/22)
Model: AsRock G10
Reset: YES
Issues: YES (see below)

1. My NTFS hard disk (5tb) casually (after restart of router) won't be visible anymore, rather a different partition appears (15mb). Probably chkdsk / dirty flag issue!?

2. My old Xbox One can not connect to WIFI, that only appears to my WIFI, if I connect to other WIFI or to my hotspot no issues at all. My hotspot has same SSID and PSW and it connects immediately. Probably, this is rather an Xbox issue than dd-wrt, but worth to mention.

depends from your wi-fi settings, i guess...
-do not use TKIP, use only WPA2 with AES
-use fixed WiFi channel either 1,6,11
-use vanilla
-use NG mixed or Mixed
-use short GI
-use short preamble
-disassoc_low_ack=0 or disabled

try this to help wi-fi clients to not disconnect...
add to wi-fi password page> hostapd box

basic_rates=60
supported_rates=60 90 120 180 240 360 480 540
ap_max_inactivity=900

Router/Version: Linksys EA8500
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r50012 std (08/31/22)
Reset: YES
Mode/Status: Router/AP w/ QOS enabled
Issues/Errors:

Since I need to assign all switch ports to my LAN, I would set up the startup swconfig command:

swconfig dev switch0 vlan 1 set ports "0t 1 2 3 4 5"

However, with the changes to the switch ports, this no longer worked and would crash the router.

I've changed my startup commands as follows:

swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 1 set ports "1 2 3 4 5 6"
swconfig dev switch0 set apply

results in:

VLAN 1:
vid: 1
ports: 1 2 3 4 5 6

and all's well so far. The Setup/Switch Config tab doesn't reflect the configuration correctly.

However, I am left with a vlan2 as follows:

VLAN 2:
vid: 2
ports: 0 5t

which should probably be cleaned up/corrected - perhaps leave port 0 (cpu) on there only?.

Also, as stated in my other thread, issuing the command:

swconfig dev switch0 set igmp_snooping 1
swconfig dev switch0 set apply

kills my network.

been a while since i upgraded, so i dont know if this is a recent bug or its been a while. But on the USB tab the Disk-info box only lists Disk-space, nothing else. Among other things, this is where it used to show the UUID of any drives you inserted, which need to be copied up to the "mount partition to /opt" box.
