BUG: DHCP does not work on mini K2.6 devices.

bug exists in: dd-wrt.v24-49866_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt160nv3.bin

this was diagnosed and fixed in a test build here:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1269400#1269400
(tested by me to fix the issue)

but the fix was never merged and official builds continue to exhibit this fault.

please let me know if/when you want me to test an official build.
thanks!

See my comment in the 49838 thread:

What is the output of:

Code:
nvram show | grep dnsmasq | sort
nvram show | grep dhcp | sort

I don't remember what all has been discussed, but this is probably something that can be tracked down via PuTTY.

Router/Version: Nighthawk R7000
File/Kernel: netgear-r7000-webflash.bin / Linux 4.4.302-st25 #7087 SMP Wed Aug 24 01:56:03 +07 2022 armv7l
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r40270M kongac 2019-07-11 / No
Mode/Status: AP / Dead

Errors:

Required a hard reset to bring back to life but once reconfigured from scratch, it was fine. Clearly it didn't like the old config but that's not too unexpected given the age.

Issues:

Cannot save anything on the WiFi advanced pages (wl0-Advanced / wl1-Advanced) due to a Javascript error on the page:
Code:
Uncaught SyntaxError: expected expression, got '<'Wireless_Advanced-wl0.asp:23:5718

Is already fixed and will be in next build.

Indeed coming from such an old build a reset after upgrade and rebuild form scratch is recommended Smile

This DNSMasq problem (different from the last time, this one had to do with a new DNSMasq version which does not play nice with an older compiler) should be solved.

BS is making a test build so that I can do the final testing, I am confident we will have DNSMasq running again on all builds very soon Smile

I just tested alpha build 49909 and DNSMasq is running again on my old K2.6 Linksys E1200v1

The problems with Saving/Applying on pages should also be solved.

Unless there are other showstoppers found we could have a new public build later today Smile
