The parameter "Disassoc low ack" must be more recently added and is not shown in the guide.
I believe it defaulted to Enabled. I don't know what this option does and in researching it I saw a post or two that made me unsure what would be the best setting, one I think specifically mentioned R7800.
What do you recommend?
THANKS
p.s. Also, I am using Vanilla FW on both bands, FYI.

hmm...im not using it, but it means it will dissociate(kick out) any wi-fi client,
that is too far away(drop clients with low signal)...with low ack times...
drop clients with low signal has its own value too...
you can fairly disable it, the downside is it will, keep looking and prob congest slow down the network in some way...as well good side is if you have a WDS or more wireless stations and client goes around and moves from one AP (wi-fi station) to the next AP..
I also guess, client and station must support it too, so transition will be better... _________________ Atheros

The feature(s) work best with default DTIM, BI, and using an ACK timing that is a multiple of 90, but you don't want to go over 900 or 1350 in most scenarios. It doesn't seem to be understood that the spec of 90 is with true line-of-sight, not spatial distances - or at least that is my understanding. I don't claim to always be right _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

This is fimrware dependent.
ath10k with the vanilla firmware takes as a minimum 450m completely no matter what you set there.
on the tab Status > WLAN you can see that the ACK Timing changes only in 450m steps.
all values ≤ 450 result in 450
values > 450 result in 900
The default value 500 also results in 900
but according to the wiki article this is also true for ath9k:

Everything goes to the public repo eventually, except for proprietary Broadcom code. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

The thread can then be slowly closed.
The ignorance is hard to beat.
And all of his driver code, not firmware code, is copyrighted by the Linux foundation and Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. and is included in the mainstream kernel trees. So, you're saying that kvalo code *is* being used in DD-WRT with this comment. I think you misread my previous comment <wink><grin> _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
