Net gear 7800
Ddwrt r48954 5-23-22
My isp told me they upgraded my speed from 100/100 to 300/300. I was only pulling 90’s on speed tests. So I went through my settings and found vlan was set to auto-negotiate, with wan being 100, and lan being 1000. I changed the wan from auto to gigabit/full-duplex, at this point, now it won’t connect to my isp (dhcp).
I factory reset (3) and re-flashed my firmware(1) 4 times. It still will not connect to my wan, however, the wan vlan is showing 1000.
Any ideas on what else to try? If I connect the wan directly to my work meraki, that connects up just fine. So it appears to be an issue with just my ddwrt router.
Now that I’ve factory rest a number of times after making that change, why would it not be working now? I only touched that screen before doing any resets.

From my notes and the same applies to XR450/XR500, R7500 and Linksys EA8500

As this is a two armed router (two physical CPU ports to the switch) it is behaving erratically when the GUI Switch Config is used.
So what ever happens DO NOT TOUCH the Switch Config tab (not after and not before midnight!)
Hmm, I’ve no idea what else to try. The cable must be good, as it works when plugged into my works meraki.
When the sys log is enabled it says it finds no dnsmasq entires in the table, it’s always stated this. Should I add 8.8.8.8 to it for a test? I can try searching the forums for that command, if so.

It is better to copy the error message instead of paraphrasing it.
It would be best if you also show a screenshot of the "basic setup" tab.
And also describe to what the router is connected and how
