Or just enable HTTPS on the router Admin page > Web Access

the wired function is working but i'm not sure why the wifi is not.
here is a screenshot..

i configured my lineage os android phone to connect to a hidden wifi. but still it doesn't connect and i'm not sure what is the error. it says 'authenticating' for a long time.

also. i don't use the 5g function but i still see the led of it lit at the router.

i would glad if you know how to fix the wifi..

i'm also attaching the version of ddwrt i've.

i still didn't upgraded because i afraid it won't work well if i do. in the past i've tried to upgrade and nothing worked..

edit.
my netgear router is connected to a bridge router-modem. so bear that in mind if it makes any difference..

You are running an old and outdated build.

See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324087

I would suggest you read those.

After reading step up to the latest build, reset *after* updating and put settings in manually.

As a first step do not stray from the default settings other then set security.
Best wifi settings is a sticky in the Broadcom forum

Your settings are also wrong.

When you setup do not stray from the default settings other then set security.

Best wifi settings is a sticky in the Broadcom forum to which I will transfer this thread

-upgraded to.. {not from the database}
-followed the sticky wifi settings of the screenshots..
-i even allowed the ssid broadcast.
-but my phone can't pass the authenticating stage.

ps

i don't think that i messed with the defaults but what do i know..
so many settings. so confusing... i wish it was much simpler for a perpetual beginner..

If you are getting "authenticating" when you try to log-in, at least your phone recognizes and hooks up to your router. It might just be having an issues getting past the password. Some things to try: tell your phone to forget the network and then try to manually log-in. Check your Wi-Fi security settings (using the guide) to make sure that they are correct. I have this router and it has served me well over the years.

Use Network mode Mixed or N/G Mixed and for wireless security WPA2-PSK, CCMP-128 (AES).

Unless you have really old client then test without wireless security

i've tried these settings. my client is not old. it's galaxy s10e..

what should i use for "Dynamic WDS Mode"? enabled or disabled?

what about "Web UI Access?

is there a chance that the wifi functionality got damaged by a power shortage? (there is a surge protector).

i'm trying to verify if the configuration matches again..
edit:
also
what is the difference between "wl1-Advanced" and "wl0-Advanced" if thats matters?

It looks like it is this one ?:
http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/ASUS_RT-ACRH18

I do not see that being supported, it could be that it is one of the newly supported mediatek devices but I would not bet on it

i'm about to tear my hair already..
