Hi,

Netgear R7000 here with DD-WRT v3.0.r40559, cannot get 30/30/30 reset working. Tried it already 20 times. It`s not my first R7000 with DD-WRT so I am a bit familiar to it.

Is there any other option?

Thanks

First your build is really old and flawed, so updating is recommended.

Current build is 49626

See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:

30/30/30 reset is not recommended to do on Broadcom Arm, it could even brick your router.

Reset can be done see: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Factory_Defaults

Or from the Command Line (SSH/telnet/Putty):
nvram erase && reboot

Hello and thanks for your answer.

Problem is, that I don`t have any chance to get on the device through command line or network (LAN). After booting up the router gives 4-5 replies to ICMP echo request and that`s it....than its offline again....

Without any more details it could be anything even hardware/power supply failure Sad

You can try to tftp or use nmrpflash to upload a new build or use serial access to see what is going on.

R7000 wiki https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_R7000

Also some reading about using nmrpfash/serial with the R6400 guides (second post is the debricking guide):

And you dont do a 30/30/30 reset on anything but old wrt54g legacy HW. Otherwise you just risk sending router into recovery or other modes and or even bricking them.

Your alternative is the reset button for 10 seconds could be less, or via terminal running nvram reset && reboot

That said you have been given good advice on how to recover. My suggestion is you follow it, and never do a 30/3/30 ever again on any router like this.
