Hello All,

I'm trying to get in touch with the wifi MESH function, but obviously there is not much to find.

yes I did the search in the forum and also the wiki, but the findings a quite small and of minimal information. Even on youtube there is nothing usable.

Can some give me the basics hint how to configure a Mesh network with dd-wrt?

got several archer 7 and 1043 routers where I can test this feature, but a little guidance would be great.

anybody able to assist me?

Thanks Tom

Take a look at the links Blkt shared. Mesh can work well, but there are currently some significant limitations on DD-WRT. Since VAPs don't work, the 1043s are especially limited (no wifi).

The forum search function doesn't paste a valid link to search results, unfortunately.

Use the search term "mesh" and author "stalogne"

The initial builds were very promising around the months of April/may '19. But the later builds from r40009 build many things stopped working like the encryption etc. I was able to get speeds close to 780mbps compared to repeater bridge max of 360mbps. BrainSlayer never revisited this again so I gave up and moved to 10GbaseT Wired backhaul mesh. Still the old dd-wrt build mesh is working fine without any issues Smile I have lots of IOTs in that network, no issues Smile

Many mesh fixes are live on latest public build but this will improve on public builds newer than 49676.
