After changing from Merlin to DD-WRT, the 2nd 5GHz band doesn't seem to work. Configurations of all 3 bands are the same. They have the same SSID and max channel width (if this matters) but also when they have different SSID's only one 5Ghz (first in the list) and 2.4 Ghz show up in the Wifi overviews.

Welcome to the forum.
I will transfer your thread to the appropriate Broadcom forum.
See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:

What build are you running?
Latest build is 49492.

Ive added a printscreen with the wifi settings.
Also on the wireless status page the thing that looks off to me is that it is occupying channel 34, while previously when I used Merlin, the 2nd 5GHz channel was at the 100 range. Also when lowering the channel width on the 2nd 5Ghz channel i'm still not able to select a separate channel as is possible on the other 2 bands.
The version it's running is Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r49492 std (07/14/22)
This should help you configure your wireless interfaces, although it is from a dual-band 802.11ac Broadcom device. Looks like you left the settings at the defaults except maybe for security settings, which I didn't screenshot, but should be WPA2 Personal with CCMP-128(AES). Never use Auto for channel selection, no matter how much work has been put into making it work correctly; use a wifi scanner app and be a good netizen and neighbor and pick a channel that is not congested in your vicinity. Also, it helps if you do not use the same SSID for all radios to help aid in troubleshooting and picking the correct radio for clients to connect to.

Thanks dale_gribble39 for your reply, I will make use of your suggestions on how to configure the channels.
But the problem with the 2nd 5Gz band still exists. It looks stuck on a channel 34 when is should go to channel 100-144.
I can't detect it on any WiFi client.
On the second 5GHz radio, did you pick channel width & save, then extension channel & save, then pick a channel and save? I don't think the "tri-band" devices use the same settings for both and my understanding is the regulatory domain is a global setting. A little further explanation from you might help me see the picture clearer. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

At the moment these are the settings.
The Channel only shows Auto, no channel selection. I think this is a bug, also because of the 2nd 5Ghz channel stays the way it is now.
Tried it with fire fox, and the commands that where suggested in the link you provided:
nvram set brcm_unlock=1
nvram commit
reboot
I wonder if there are other ASUS RT-3200 users having this problem (with or without the latest firmware).
Might it be possible, because of the update from Merlin to DD-Wrt some of the settings weren't reset (just guessing). I did the update with the 30-30-30 reset "rule", loaded the DD-WRT firmware (twice) and started configuring.
Change the channel width, save; (40Hz, 80Hz)
Select extension channel (upper, lower; upper upper, lower lower, etc.), save;
Then select from available list of valid channels and save. I don't know of any issues on this device where you cannot perform these steps. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Thank you for your replies. I did figure out how you can select a channel, but it won't work for my 2nd 5Ghz band on the ASUS RT-3200. Still the problem exists, and I figure there's no clear answer on how to solve this.
I haven't noticed any changes that provide the solution of js and Ajax calls as noted here; if something has changed, please give a bonafide reference to this change. Thanks.

It's not broken, it's by design.
1) set the Channel Width and Save.
2) Set the Extension Channel UU, LL or UL and save
3) The channel list will now show legal channels with the settings 1-2. Select channel and apply.
This is just not a user friendly UI design. To have the page dynamically update, js and Ajax calls must be implemented.
I did reset the settings just to be sure, but no change yet.
Still not possible to change the channel on the 2nd 5Ghz band.
I'm also thinking of uploading again some older ASUS firmware that does not check if the DD-WRT firmware has the right certification. That's why I did the 30-30-30 reset. I did not see a different option there.
See if it works again and than do the update to DD-WRT.
Unless you still have some other option, but I'm getting started to get a bit pessimistic that it will ever work.
