I have two Netgear R7000's running an old Kong build from 2019. I tried following the "30 reset" instructions in the wiki as well as the ARM Reset instructions, but neither did anything (no response from the routers). Is there a different reset procedure for this build+router combo?
Unfortunately both routers are in a state where the the web GUI is not responding and are not responding to SSH or ping, so a SW-based method seems not feasible.
For context, both of these routers were working until I attempted to link them per the WDS instructions. The client router become unaccessible immediately after applying the settings. The host router was working fine at first, then also became unaccessible ~10min later.
TIA.

Thanks. The guide mentions testing for ping first. In my case neither routers respond to ping despite manually setting the IP address manually as instructed. Does that mean I have to go the serial cable route?
FWIW the reset button never worked for me, even prior to today. I've always had to initiate a reset via the web GUI on both routers. Hence my question about whether there's some other reset method that I'm missing.

Press and hold reset button, apply power, wait for power light to transition, TFTP or NMRPflash. Also, WDS is not functional on Broadcom ARM, this is a known issue that will likely never be fixed unless more recent developments have fixed this.

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
Thanks for the advice - I've got both routers back online now. nmrpflash alone was initially successful on one router but not the other. I noticed that on the successful router, the settings were not reset after nmrpflash. Perhaps that's what was causing the second one to not work. I was only able to get the second router to work after re-flashing a couple times with the same .chk and some combination of holding the reset button while booting. Not sure what exactly did the trick but I'm just happy they're working now. The reset button also works now. Marking this as solved.
Thanks for the tip about WDS not working on this router. I was confused since the wiki has a specific guide for enabling WDS on Broadcom routers. Guess that's out of date? I'll try setting up a repeater bridge then.
