I would like to ask one question; Is there someone that has an R7000P that you have actually been able to create a working 5Ghz vap?
I have been all over this forum and others, but have not found anything that has worked to get a 5Ghz VAP to work on my R7000P.
I've tried all the "workarounds" that I can find.
I've seen posts where it says it was fixed.
I've tried several different builds.
My current build is V3.0-r49139 std(06/10/122)
2.4 Ghz vap works fine.
My last ditch effort here is to actually find someone that can verify a 5ghz vap can be created on an R7000P.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums
I can ping the developer and see if there's any update for these radios.
Generally speaking, manage your expectations but you wont find anything works better on older builds, I know that recently the drivers were changed well over the build you're currently using, if those drivers apply to yours or not, IDK.
The other option was to revert to an older build before the last update on those files. Typos suck; at least if we believe the premise that there is an existing NDA with Broadcom and he has a full SDK of proprietary source code. Otherwise, the binary blobs are limited to what kernel version they work with, according the the lore. Which would be why other firmware projects can't just upgrade kernels to more modern LTS versions without borrowing from DD-WRT. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Reverting to an older DD-WRT version is not any kind of solution, unless the person has no care for security and known exploits or knows what they are doing on the intrawebs. We arent talking about a couple of weeks here. Most people know less than nothing and flashing DD-WRt doesn't suddenly make someone an expert on anything, unless they didn't follow an how to and then those ppl have real skills.
It has always been purveyed that BrainSlayer had an NDA with Broadcom and a full SDK to compile his own binary blobs to kernels newer than Linux 2.6.x. No mysterious binary blob change will fix bad code that I'm aware of, unless it was something Broadcom did in a later release of the DHD driver. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

This is great news.
I have downloaded and installed on my R7000P and added some vaps.
I have successfully been able to create two 2Ghz vaps.
I have created two 5Ghz, but only one is showing up on my iPhone, but before, none showed up.
I appreciate your work, thank you.

One other problem with the R7000P, on the 5 GHz band in the United States, is you choose to select a channel instead of Auto you only get one choice based upon the Extension Channel (80 Mhz channel width).

More dhd drivers fixes have gone in, so I guess something is being worked on.
My electricity has been out since the morning until recently, so haven't been able to speak to brainslayer anyway, total blackout, not even cell towers were working. After my UPSs gave out, at least had a chance to charge my phone on one of them.
