Welcome to Broadcom r49326 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specific recovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.


Downloads: HTTPS, FTP

CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (http only) or 'curl -O {file URL}' (http, https, ftp). 'write {file} linux' then 'reboot'.

Trac SVN: repository since last build r49289 (mirror)

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
VAPs not working at boot are fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, remove startup commands.
If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missing via Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!

Important:
Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: strace tcpdump wireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

With IPv6 enabled, I found that on IPv6 speed test sites using SFE and using CTF for Flow Acceleration gave me the best results for IPv6 sites. The Flow Acceleration CTF setting substantially increased the Wi-Fi speed.

Correction: Using CFT+FA for Flow Acceleration is faster. To implement this I needed to reboot my router twice.

Should be plenty of CPU left on that router even without FA+CTF on. Its a dual core at 1Ghz.

Curious how @PaulGo does his measurements. Anything except iperf I wouldnt consider a benchmark.

For Wi-Fi on my Android smartphone I use Speedtest. I found for the Flow Acceleration setting only CTF (not CTF and FA) gives me the best Wi-Fi results. This only applies using SFE with IPv6 enabled.

nperf.com, have you tried it?

CTF is pure software acceleration, FA is Hardware acceleration so when both are enabled not only are you using both CPU's( for CTF) you are also using specific in chip hardware accelerator, but FA is really for Gigabit WAN speeds anything less CTF should be fine.

Speedtest would have little to do with CPU then. Do you have a linux machine on the network? (for Windows see below) run

from phone run iperf client, iOS one is called 'iPerf'. Im sure there are dozens of options on Android.

This would give you an actual, real time WiFi performance as you walk around the house. Great way to find dead spots.

EDIT: On windows you can use this binary https://iperf.fr/download/windows/iperf-3.1.3-win64.zip

Just extract it to a folder, open CMD and navigate to that folder then run '''iperf3 -s'''

the-joker you are totally correct. I read on another thread which you just posted that to use FA you need to reboot twice. I did that, and it made a big difference when I connected it to my test Comcast high speed internet connection. I get substantially higher speeds than just CFT alone. (Both wired and Wi-Fi).
