I am going to sell the EA8500, it has latest DDWRT firmware (June 10) the EA8500 firmware was FW_EA8500_1.1.4.167984_prod.img before I flashed to DDWRT. Do I just flash the 1.14 back to the EA8500? Thanks.
Either serial flash with correct official Linksys files or use a customized webrevert file with DD-WRT WebUI / CLI.
After stock downgrade, reset button 10 seconds or reset within Linksys web interface then disable auto updates.
I suggest 1.1.4.168206 or older, guarantees no need for serial flash if the next user wants DD-WRT or OpenWrt.
Credit to mrjcd. After webrevert DD-WRT remains on alternate partition until another fw upload.

+1 for leaving DD-WRT flashed to this device and selling as-is and using DD-WRT as a selling point. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

+1 for DD-WRT
Its two zillion percent more secure than any stock firmware, especially if it is already flashed with latest DD-WRT and reset to defaults prior to shipping.
Not only a selling point but may justify a couple extra clams in price, since buyer wont have to waste time with installing DD-WRT.
I would advertise as can be reverted to stock firmware if preferred.
