Netgear Nighthawk X10
I decided to do a reset of my router to clean out any gremlins as its been a while
I always flash connected to ethernet.
I go in to manually add my settings, however the connection keeps dropping when I change tabs and I have to refresh constantly to get a connection back.
Also the wireless tab is odd as I can't save any changes as the save tab is gone.
I tried the last 3 firmware and still no change.
I even managed nvram erase && reboot and still no joy.
Anyway, I forwarded the logs and links as BS.
As far as he reads it he will fix it for sure
Thanks again for your quick reply and assistance. Glad it's not that I bonked my router. I will go back to 48810 for now so I can get up and running again.

Its very weird this issue, nothing in UI changed that could cause it and not every one with the same router has these issues, Mlandi fixed his similar issues, others are unable to and others never see any such issues with any of the builds, and in that respect one can only fix an issue after identifying the issue.
Its obvious that the UI isn't fully loading, since missing background colors and elements.
very weird.
My theories expand.
I wouldn't put it past a browser issue and even further to it a specific browser and OS combo issue. There is no evidence to support or deny that theory and it needs to be excluded. I would very much like people to post their OS version/Browser type and version to confirm/deny it and if possible test outside the OS/Browser combo.
It wouldn't surprise me that people would be running Windows 11 of these affected targets or edge browser, or something in the browser is preventing the CSS from fully loading.
But without information its impossible to know and I will not install Windows 11 so you guys know, I boycott it totally, have no interest and no time for MS Win 11 crapola.#
Would in addition of the information about OS version and browser version be interested in what the browser dev tools console log says about these pages.
Without this new data/information will be hard to get to the bottom of it.
Im interested on both working and non working systems respective information, given that:
1) there are users who have this problem and cant fix it.
2) users who had this problem and fixed it.
3) users who dont have this problem at all in any builds.

if router is physically accessible best way to do settings via wire, cable, rj45, Ethernet...in this case no disconnect...
as well if page in GUI is broken you can do settings via CLI...
nvram show (to see settings) and than nvram set (to set particular setting) followed by nvram commit to save those settings..i generally add and change lots of setting via nvram (those i know of) as its faster....
sadly, im away of my R9000 to test it... _________________ Atheros

The crashes happen while connected via RJ45.
I have tried 3 different browsers ie, chrome, and Firefox. Windows 10.
I am not home yet so can’t provide browser versions for Joker, but all browsers are up to date.
Didn’t know about cli maybe I can try that at some point, but wonder about the crashes when I change tabs.

Read my initial post carefully, I need WAY more info than just browser versions.
And failing any of it, then I cant prove or disprove my theories.
Especially given that you have 3 different user segments;
1) the ones like you who have the issue and cant fix it
2) then ones who have had that issue but fixed it
4) the ones who never had any issues at all with any builds.
Im trying to find a common denominator which will show what are the specific circumstances that connects or not the 3 types of users.
It could prove to be hogwash and barking up te wrong tree, but no one has any better ideas where to look.
This is my brain fart troubleshooting 101. It works.

Without finding a cause there is no way to fix it, no matter if its DD-WRT's fault or not, I think NOT since if it was, EVERYONE with a r9000 would be in same boat and they are most definitely NOT.
Yep 👍🏻 I read your initial post I know you need more, just shorthanding because I’m at work.
The one interesting thing was this was the first time in maybe 6 months I did a complete reset of the 9000 rather than just upgrade. 🙃

Not interesting at all, if you are trying to hint that your reset somehow brought this about, its in direct conflict with those who have solved the issue you reported by resetting, especially when this person only reset after more than 6 months and fixed the issue, you cant both be right. And if you both are right then no point trying to get to the bottom of it.
May as well dance around naked singing and dancing, that might do it.

Basic wireless tab is still crashing on R9000 49197. What I tried so far:
- existing settings: crashes
- clean settings: crashes
- various browsers on Win 10 and 11 (Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Pale moon): crashes
- Linux/Firefox: crashes
I posted the DDWRT log(s) in the build topic(s).
