Welcome to Broadcom r49139 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: stracetcpdumpwireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.
So that you guys know, Ive been reworking the english strings to fix endless and needless repetition between headers/legends and labels.
So much of how it use to be named is now new and still much to happen in that front, Im not even halfway, services page and wireless pages, info page, backup/restore pages, some help text and pages, access restrictions pages are done, the rest is between changes still.
Sweet! You're awesome Bro! Thanks for all the hard work!

Take the chance to find the proper place to escape ">" and "<" using HTML entities when returning results of running shell commands in Admin->Command!
Did you(?) escape the quotation marks? Should be the same place....

Updated via web interface using .trx file; did not reset settings. Process went smoothly and everything is stable.
Only oddity I've encountered is the WL1 interface is sometimes not visible to random devices for a period of time, resulting in those devices dropping offline for an arbitrary amount of time. This was also observed under the prior version running on the router (r48996) so I suspect it's either a configuration issue on my part or a channel noise/overlapping issue and not a problem with dd-wrt itself. I'm still monitoring and investigating. WL1 is using 40 MHz channel width on channel 40 ( +38 ) vs. WL2 80 MHz width on channel 161 ( +155. ) Both are using 90 for their sensitivity (ACK) range so I may try bumping the value a little higher to see if that helps.
