Thanks!
So far, I've been struggling with these fixes from those links, already Smile.
And I tested it intensively, I didn't expect such a quick response.
I was mistaken because those security settings are grouped. In the meantime, it was resolved according to the advice received.

On the wire(ethernet) it's ok, I still have to go to wifi setting.

LE: latest posts have been edited and completed according to the minimum requirements, I apologize for the inconvenience.

I am still testing, but I may have a problem with this build on the 2.4MHz radio. Performance has all but stopped, down to 0.1Mb/s. 5GHz and Ethernet are normal and fast. I will cold boot the router but what should I capture to isolate a problem with one radio?

I'm also seeing issues with 2.4GHz using Vanilla firmware - very slow. Previous build (06-07-2022-r49113) had the same issues and connectivity problems as well.

Switched to DD-WRT firmware on 2.4GHz and it's better (have to compare speeds to previous versions later).

Have not reset settings - will likely try that next.

There is something very wrong with the vanilla drivers right now and they are adding a boatload of latency when I do testing from wireless out to waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat. This is for both radio's on the R9000.

using dd-wrt driver- test results:
https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=84a9ca6d-d5d9-4f52-b0c5-62a119f7c617

Using Vanilla test results:
https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=9d8bcfb6-90cb-4528-a38a-dde5f08e24c8

I am trying to work backwards to see when it really started, but as others have pointed out there have been several commits. /This is at least as of 49049

I am running the nightly 49185 and I have to use dd-wrt drivers to make things work. Vanilla is totally bunked.

I think this is affecting Ath10k devices the most; but maybe Ath9k too.

I have pinged BS about this.

Thanks for the confirmation. I switched both radios to the DD-WRT firmware and this release is now rock solid with great throughput.

no issues with vanilla fw, tried ddwrt fw, and back to the old low jittery tx/rx rates as usual ever since they were added. oh and it completely locked up the router for over 7 seconds whenever it felt like when under moderate ~ heavy usage.. go figure. ddwrt radio fw always causes more issues and fixes nothing here, a couple builds ago nothing would even connect to the ap when using ddwrt fw..

I wonder if the IRQ balancing tweaks are factoring in negatively on actual routers vs. x86 setups?

I went back to 48897 and things are running speedy as ever on vanilla....

I have too many teams calls for work ATM and so I will have to stick with this and play during the nights to see when vanilla went bad.... but your "I have no vanilla issues" points me to the IRQ balancing as a possible culprit, then.

I have a spare R9000 that I can setup from scratch and see if NVRAM gremlins are doing something on the IRQ balance front with Vanilla and updates vs. clean install....Can't play till late tonight, though... There's a chip shortage out there I have to deal with....

EA8500 - seeing issues with 5GHz using the Vanilla firmware as well - takes some time, but eventually 5GHz fails/drops clients/connectivity.

Set 5GHz to DD-WRT firmware and all is well so far.

Again, I haven't tried a NVRAM reset yet, not sure if I will or just revert to another build.

I think it's not only 5G, when 5G starts acting up 2.4G does it too. At least for me reconnecting my tablet to 2.4G doesn't help much until I reboot the router.
I'm almost positive it's not Vanilla vs DD-WRT firmware either, I think I've had this on both.
More, when it starts it may not even connect via LAN port.

Similar to previous - reliably crashes httpd on any change in wireless basic settings.
No apply / save buttons in wireless basic settings.

New install from clean manufacturer install.

Router: Netgear R9000
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r49139 std (06/10/22)

The same for me, httpd predictably crashes in wireless tab. The same symptoms: page doesn't fully load, missing buttons. It was the same in the previous release (49113). Also the same with defaults (nvram erase && reboot).

However, in my case the crash happens *on first access*, when you reload or click on another tab, you see the consequences of the crash. After a minute or so the crash is detected and httpd is restarted.

Let's check the new version (49197 and see if there is any improvement).

This is the log excerpt:
