@gin-n-tonic & @ArjenR49

I mean "Basic Settings / Wireless_Basic.asp".

The other pages don't cause any problems for me, I can press CTRL+F5 100 times without anything happening.

I have now made a factory reset / the more settings I add the more often it occurs.

And it can also be provoked by pressing CTRL+F5 several times in a row.

But as I said, it also seems to have something to do with some settings.

Very strange.

Well, I'll configure completely from scratch later - let's see if I can get back to where I started.

Why CTRL+F5?
Is there a 'legitimate' purpose for this particular keypress somewhere in dd-wrt?
I just wonder, I'm not saying you shouldn't press CTRL+F5 Wink

Well, when the translation changes or new functions are added, the WebIF often says "undefined" or the old translation is still displayed.
You must then refresh the page and since I always do that with CTRG+F5, I just noticed it.

New string = BSSID

I see. You must be using a different browser then. In FireFox it's CTRL+R, but I almost exclusively use its GUI icon.
CTRL+R is safe in my case. I just tested it.

Yes I use chrome but have the same problem with firefox

But after I reset the router and re-entered all the settings from scratch the problem doesn't occur so often.

Now I have to press CTRL+F5 several times in a row but every now and then it still crashes.

In the attachment are 3 different crashes that I provoked by pressing several times.

But is already a significant improvement - before the reset I had to press only 1-2... now much more often.

Very strange

and what I should mention.
With the build r49028, which was pulled back a few days ago, I had the same crash without having to press anything...

Also seeing issues with 2.4GHz using Vanilla firmware - very slow. Previous build (06-07-2022-r49113) had the same issues and connectivity problems as well.

Switched to DD-WRT firmware on 2.4GHz and it's better (have to compare speeds to previous versions later).

Have not reset settings - will likely try that next.

Cold boot did not help. Will try switching from Vanilla to DD-WRT

Switching from Vanilla to DD-WRT on the 2.4MHz radio worked. Speed and stability returned. There seems to be a problem with Vanilla and the 3.5MHz radio on a R9000

r49049 introduced same new Vanilla binaries along with a mac80211 airtime fairness scheduler revert.
If all was stable on r49049 or r49081 it is not necessarily the binary, though you may have better luck.

Reboot returns stability temporarily no "failed to lookup txq for peer_id" errors appear until hours later,
in my experience 6 to 18 hours these past few builds r49113 and r49139 with newer revision ATF code.

r49113 introduced new DD-WRT binaries, and next build already see additional ATF changes and fixes.

Router/Version: Linksys EA8500
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r49139 std (06/10/22); Linux 4.9.317 #1012 SMP Fri Jun 10 01:02:25 +07 2022 armv7l
Previous/Reset: original Linksys firmware ver. 1.1.9.192968
Mode/Status: gateway / working (in progress...)

After a week of testing with firmware 1.1.9 and earlier Ver. 1.1.8, I tried to downgrade to install ddwrt under GUI, without success, so I switched directly to serial pins with CH341A chip device and in 5 minutes I put this firmware to work.
So far, so good.
I'm going to do some more research as I come from a Belkin F7D3302 and then an EA6700, both upgraded with ddwrt.

Issues/Errors:
I hope to be able to find the right settings as soon as possible, because I can't get some phones to connect to wifi, in the sense that a Lenovo K920 pro (Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801) fails to connect even at 2.4 GHz, not even on 5GHz, while an HTC U11 life (Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630) and a Moto G100 (Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G) do it without problems. Or even older firecrackers, with Mediatek MT6737 or MT6735 processors, on 2.4 GHz.

choose WPA2 Personal + CCMP-128 (AES)

don't mix it with TKIP or other 256Bit encryptions

And for the 5Ghz radio choose AC/N-mixed as network mode

channel 128 is lower and not upper

in short your WLAN settings are crap and should be reworked

Useful information:

https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/QCA_wireless_settings

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324014

And a little hint the release threads are for bug reports, not for general questions.

yep alindumitru46 your WiFi settings are messy..
selecting multiple encryption options is not recommended
TKIP use is very outdated... AES is more secure and the recent best choice

now to report i do have those in 1043v2 49139 avter 3 days of use... dmesg
<3>[247669.570000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6
<3>[247670.440000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6
<3>[247678.650000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6
<3>[247680.440000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6
<3>[247688.020000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6
<3>[247688.900000] x_tables: ip_tables: tcp match: only valid for protocol 6

no idea where to look at, is protocol 6 related to IPv6 ..I'm not heaving any of those anywhere in use...never had this line before...i tried to link it to my settings ...but nothing that i know of..

as well out of the topic under dmesg
running e2fsck check recommended...
anyone knows the right parameters of e2fsck i need to perform...?
10x in advance...!

@Alozaros

normally not necessary, the message appears after a certain number of mount operations.
if the FS is clean - then it is clean

Code:
tune2fs -l /dev/sda1 | grep state
