If you want to use a VAP (unbridged) I would imagine you need DNSMasq and for DNSMasq indeed you then need to set Local DNS.

What benefit is there in disabling DNSMasq ?

About Router/Gateway mode in this case it does not matter, so just keep it in Gateway mode (actually always keep it in Gateway mode Smile )

I did not looked into the Firewall, I just kept it enabled.

As the WAN is disabled I would expect that the firewall is disabled automatically (and I checked, it is) but it might need some tweaking.

Disabling it manually does probably not hurt

I guess steps could be added for the use case scenario of adding a VAP on single-radio routers, but that is generally not the use of CB/SB. Did we also rename Client mode to Station mode? It should be, so that it's true to the driver specs, since we went there with CB.

Updated my pdf, I also setup using an R7800 with Station Bridge and it worked exactly the same so probably should go in one wiki.

Added a troubleshooting section as you can encounter some weird and not yet fully explained things (NTP time not working, Station not reachable from PC attached to Main)
In all cases a reboot of router and PC solved that

Added a section To Be researched

I'll annotate all links to the current wikis and add a new Station Bridge wiki at some point, then.

Would be great !!

Broadcom seems to work well, Atheros has some bugs when creating a VAP might have to do with the recent addition of BSSID for WDS?

Will research that the coming days and report to the CD (Chief Developer)
