Under Wireless -> Country Settings -> Regulatory Domain,
the dropdown list label "Country" had become "undefined".

Out of curiosity, what does Setup->Basic Setup->DHCP->Forced DNS Redirection DoT" do? Related to Unbound?

Pending cold boot... Smile

edit:

Hang on... hang on... the label had changed from "undefined" to "Domain", after a few Firefox refresh and visiting other websites. Weird.... really... Still pending cold boot.

Device: Asus RT-AC87U
Build: DD-WRT v3.0-r49113 std (06/07/22)

I clean flashed this build and after setting it up, SSH is not working. I turned SSH in Services > Services > Secure Shell > SSHd and have defined a port as well. I enabled both password as well as Key based login.

ssh root@192.168.1.1

Keys are located in C:\Users\xxx\.ssh

SSH was working earlier and after a clean flash to this build, it's not working anymore. Any ideas?

"Forced DNS Redirection DoT" redirects port 853 to port 53 so to force clients using DoT to use the router as DNS server.

"Forced DNS Redirection DoT" redirects port 853 to port 53 so to force clients using DoT to use the router as DNS server.

I believe i asked this question before...so, if DoT is encrypted via 853, how does it work then via port 53...basically no DNS for those using Forced DoT Embarassed

I always had a believe/impression, it is the opposite, so clients using normal DNS are forced via SmartDNS DoT (port 853) if its configured as it should... Rolling Eyes

Forced DoT redirects to port 53, used in conjunction with Forced DNS redirect (to the router itself) which will then direct queries to whichever DNS resolver you have configured is the way it is meant to work, if I am not mistaken. Is this correct, @egc?

That is correct, it is to stop users from using their own DNS solutions e.g.children trying to escape parental control.

Will add the canary domain later.

Of course this is an uphill battle Sad[/b]

It's basically impossible to do so, unless you could lock down users' network adapters.
