Welcome to Broadcom r49113 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specific recovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.

Downloads: HTTPS, FTP

CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (http only) or 'curl -O {file URL}' (http, https, ftp). 'write {file} linux' then 'reboot'.

Trac SVN: repository since last build r49081 (mirror)

OpenVPN 2.5.6: Changelog, Guides, Server, PBR, DNS, Kill Switch, Watchdog, Reverse PBR, Client, Multiple, tips & scripts.
WireGuard 1.0.20211208/Tools: Changelog, Guides, Client, Server, Advanced, PBR, KS, tips & scripts. Thanks to BS & egc!

Notes:
Experimental for 8MB+ K2.x devices: broadcom_K3X_mipsel32r1. • MIPS @ kernel 4.4. Archer C8 v2, v3, R6200 support.
mDNS/Avahi Tor DoT Redirect SmartDNS FreeRADIUS htop rtw88 mt76 ath10k ath5k SNMP OpenSSL NTFS-3G irqbalance
In-kernel Samba (ksmbd 3.4.4++++): guest behavior selectable. • WSD updateANTFS/NTFS3 kernel mode driver++++
New DD-WRT inspired themes conversion by the-joker & BrainSlayer, micro builds excluded, UI theme test bug hunt thread.
Add static, delete DHCP lease from Status -> LAN clients table, Services, upgrades to forwarding in NAT / QoS tabs & more.
Let's Enhance: DTAG, Tagging, Switch Config, Dynamic WDS, Stations, Site Survey, RadioName, 802.11r and recent changes.

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
VAPs not working at boot are fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, remove startup commands.
If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missing via Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!

Important:
Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: strace tcpdump wireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

Router/Version: Netgear R6300v1
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r49113 giga (06/07/22)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.302-st14 #16540 Tue Jun 7 15:48:48 +07 2022 mips
Previous/Reset: r49081
Mode/Status: Gateway / Working
Issues/Errors: I had to power cycle router to gain internet access

With IPv6 enabled, I found that on IPv6 speed test sites using SFE gave the best results.

PaulGo, what kind of WAN speeds are you getting with r6300v1? My IPS just updated me to 250 Megabit down but I cant seem to get higher than 180Megabit with r6300v1.

On Verizon FiOS 300/300 I get 308 down and 330 up using the Speedtest app on my wired computer with the Verizon IPv6 site. On a IPv4 site, I get full speed 311 down and 344 up (With a higher speed Comcast connection, I get 400 down). This is using SFE. If I use CTF I get about 80 down and up on a IPv6 site with full speed on an IPv4 site. Since SFE uses more CPU processing, my wireless speeds using SFE is lower than using CTF on IPv4 sites. I overclock my R6300v1 to 662mhz.

Thanks for the info. I hooked up directly to my modem and am still getting 180Megabit (its an Arris SB6141 so should be able to support up to 343 Megabit). So its my ISP issue not the router.

Can you give more detail on SFE? I know what CTF is, but whats SFE and which page is it configured on?

It's on the same page as CTF. It's an option in the Shortcut Forwarding Engine configuration. SFE, CTF, CTF+FA.

The Arris SB6141 theoretical top speed is 343 the actual top speed is about 250 to 270 depending on traffic (I had one).

Id be happy with anything north of 230 megabit (my plan is 250). But it appears that this plan may require more than 8 bonding channels to work correctly. So that may be the issue with capping out at 180Megabit. I dont know, and when I contacted their tech support they thought I was talking about a TV package when I asked about "bonding channels". lol, thats ISP tech support for you.

What modem did you upgrade to? I got this ARRIS off Amazon in 2014, so it served me 8 years. Paid for itself long ago (considers ISP charging $10 a month for modem rental). So I wouldnt mind upgrading, but would like to future proof too.

Only if you need the extra bandwidth, SB6141 is 8x4 channel rated at 343Mbps/131Mbps. SB6183 is 16x4, double the downstream.

SB8200 is 32x8 or 2x2 (DOCSIS 3.1) 3GB RAM but is known to run hot. You may get a bad one and have to return or exchange.

Motorola MB8600 is same the chipset as SB8200, 512MB RAM but runs cooler. These are all Broadcom, not Intel.

Just did a read on the subject here https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Hardware (Flow Acceleration, SFE and Cut-Through Forwarding section)

If r6300v1 supports CTF, why do you use SFE? Because of ipv6 issue?

With Comcast I have the SB8200 which is a 3.1 modem. In a few years they will have DOCSIS 4.0 modems which will have symmetrical up and download speeds.

CTF is much too slow for IPV6.

false alarm, working on r6300v1.

OpenVPN log in GUI is filled with the following messages even though time is set correctly on the router (everything after timestamp is empty space).

Just to clarify, your LAN is using ipv4 but your ISP gives your modem an ipv6 (your WAN IP is ipv6) ?
