imma get a bit off topic but I just gotta say---
My new USB WiFi adapter just came in a bit ago.
Worky really well on that machine.
Changed MAC to match machine cause I always use local DNS and gave the EA8500 a reboot.
Here she is--
Yeahuh it's a Linksys AE6000 -- still like them peoples
(don't tell but it's really a dual band MT7610U which Debian has builtin drivers in is kernel)
The Cudy USB adapter I was using worked very good but NO drivers worky for the k5.17.x kernel yet...
...I had to keep that machine running on k5.16.x for the Cudy to work.

Past several builds (TBH not sure what build this started) give me these same two issues, on both routers. Same results via web upgrade or full reset.
(1) Poor 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi speed when using DD-WRT firmware. The connection says it is 300Mbps but won't exceed 30-35Mbps. As soon as I open the advanced settings and switch the wireless firmware to VANILLA, the speed performs as expected. Same on both routers. 5Ghz seems fine, just noticing an issue with 2.4Ghz.
(2) SpeedChecker service. The internet test will not exceed 16Mbps (hovers around 15.xx every time) using both a Wi-fi and LAN connection, both routers. When it switches to the Wi-Fi speed the test hangs and does not run. I tried enabling and disabling the service many times and re-configured my speed, location and city but it never works. Even disabled Pi-Hole but that didn't matter as expected. Would love to get this functionality back, it is super helpful/convienent.
Not sure if these are already known or not, I've been away for a bit and just jumping back in to testing new builds in the past month or two. TY

Was on 49112 and used wget to update to 49113.
Then used wget again on 49113 without problems.
root@R7800:/tmp# wget http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2022/

Connecting to download1.dd-wrt.com (185.84.6.100:80)
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
unit works as it should, apart of wget...i need to do a reset but not present there physically, i will wait...
i may try to use another adblocker with curl or modify the current script... _________________ Atheros

aghhh...after some testing, i just figured out, that the only reason for wget to not work is, ISP bill was not paid on time, so, they stopped my http(port 80) and DNS(port 53)...but as im using DoT and https (curl) to test, that was going behind...so, false alarm...bloody GF forgot to pay the ISP bill on time... _________________ Atheros
