Thanks. I did not know if there was something in the log or an order of events that was helpful even if I saw nothing wrong. I won't post the log in the future unless something seems wrong.

Maybe the comment above can be included in the 1st post of the new build announcement?

At exactly 2:00 up time, two hours up, the R9000 crashed and rebooted. If it helps, here is the boot log.

The xr500 and X4s are virtually the same see the guide in my signature.
They also use the same firmware.
There are other users with ipq806x routers e.g. R7800, xr500 EA8500 reporting problems on recent builds.

The R9000 although from the same breed is different but could also be affected.

for me, XR500 rebooted after less than 1 hour, so it's probably not triggered by timing. I have no serial log, so I can't claim what I've said is true or not.

It would help now a serial log of it working and crashing complete log obviously to have a better picture, syslog has nothing as usual.

And maybe what was happening at time of crash/reboot e.g. using wifi

I have for a long time been able to crash/reboot the router at will, mine is a broadcom though. But sadly dont have a serial adapter compatible with it or money to buy it. So Im stuck.

The R9000 is my only router so I need it running. Is there any way to write the logs to a USB stick? I could do that. What I can't do is take the router out of service and try to download logs from it. "Real work" does not allow that.

I can tell you that when the router crashed (and it has now done it twice) I was online with work via Ethernet. My wife was online with her work using WiFi. Nothing unusual for my house.

My WiFi issues seem about the same but only been on the ea85s about a week so my setting are a work in progress.
I ignored "the-jokers" good advice and skipped the resets only because I don`t have the time right now. But I made easy access to my serial ports so if I have issues I`ll grab the output and post back. Thanks Everyone !

You could enable via terminal nvram set console_debug=1 && nvram commit and save the logs to usb and hope when it crashes something gets recorded.
