Hi there,
So I hardbricked my Tl-wr740nv4,i flashed ddwrt and when i reverted back i flashed the wrong bin file of Tl-wr743nv2,now on tftp it wanted recovery file of Tl-wr743v2, i tried using TFTP but only few packets sent and routers lights again start flashing, i tried both files of Tl-wr740nv4 and Tl-wr743v2 both none of them are working, only 7838 packets were sent and it restarted the router and all lights keeps flashing.
Any help would be appreciated thanks

Thread bump.

This is a mess, unbricking by flashing even more wrong version files is never going to work. Lets see if anyone can help you.

when doing TFTP try to have a simple port switch in between...your computer and router

also if you flashed it to a wrong build, it may ask for that wrong name, just change the name of 740v4 firmware with the name it wants...and try flashing a factory-to-ddwrt firmware for it...or stripped stock firmware...any of those will do, you just change the name as its required...
Wink

p.s. if TFTP is not working than you'd need serial...than its easy.. Laughing

Nothing here specifically states that you need a stripped stock firmware file or anything in particular like that, but as far as I know, most "newer" devices with TFTP recovery can use a non-stripped firmware image.

(worst case using serial, printenv may reveal that the tftp server should be 192.168.0.10 and you can use +$(filesize), then $(filesize) instead of calculating filesize)
