Welcome to Broadcom r48954 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: stracetcpdumpwireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

Previous: 05-18-2022-r48897, Reset: yes, flashed yesterday
Status: Working well until br0 gets touched.
Temperatures: WL0 48.2 °C / WL1 56.7 °C with open case.
Switch port 1 is the only interface in vlan3 and connects this WAP to the rest of my network.
Bridge config after boot:
Code:
[16:24:06:565] root@ddwrt: ~# brctl show
[16:24:07:905] bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
[16:24:07:910] br0 8000.ac220bac220b no eth1
[16:24:07:913] eth2
[16:24:07:914] vlan1
[16:24:07:916] vlan3
If for example I change the Wireless Channel of the 2.4GHz radio and hit Save followed by Apply Settings. I get the following:
Code:
[16:24:49:927] brctl show
[16:24:49:932] bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
[16:24:49:935] br0 8000.ac220bac220b no eth1
[16:24:49:939] eth2
[16:24:49:942] vlan1
Since vlan3 is missing no connection is possible until vlan3 is added to br0 again.
Code:
[16:24:49:942] root@ddwrt: ~# brctl addif br0 vlan3
[16:24:58:931] [ 6774.958275] device vlan3 entered promiscuous mode
[16:24:58:934] [ 6774.963292] br0: port 4(vlan3) entered forwarding state
[16:24:58:939] [ 6774.968810] br0: port 4(vlan3) entered forwarding state
[16:24:58:949] root@ddwrt: ~# [ 6789.997680] br0: port 4(vlan3) entered forwarding state
This example is my best case.
Worst case had only eth2 remaining as bridge interface.
