v3 vs V6, think about this for a second.
Be patient until someone who knows the router can reply, personally I think TFTP recovery back to stock maybe a way to go, but I dont know if it will work with your device.
And think this is the weekend, most community members are NOT on the same timezone as you.

Perhaps you could state the reason for reverting, but you have two options: upgrade to current release to solve whatever issues you have with DD-WRT (like garbled webUI) or revert to stock.
The reason why I would like to revert is that I was check if the openvpn was supported as I needed to connect with nordvpn, my bad didn't read all the details.
anyways, seems that with this router I cannot have the openvpn support. it has only 4MB Flash, what's the minimum? in order to have the openvpn? I need to connect with nordvpn.

Atheros based devices typically only have one version of the firmware available per model. The feature set in Atheros builds are generally limited by the amount of flash memory that a unit has. So basically, Atheros 4MB flash units have features somewhat similar to a Broadcom K2.6 mini version while 8MB Atheros flash units have features more similar to a Broadcom K2.6 BIG version, but the features will vary. Atheros builds are still pre-baked and specific to its unit, so features in one unit's version may slightly differ from another unit's version.
Which also applies to all Ralink/MediaTek devices as well. Sorry we don't have a better matrix for devices and what the firmware for each supported device includes, but generally speaking, if the device has ≥ 8MB flash space, it will have OpenVPN (and/or Wireguard). _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I dont understand this returning to stock under any circumstances.
I approve of self determination, exercising freedom and choice by all peoples of this planet, but this is what I call negligent technological abuse. Opening the router to being another botnet node and being permanently infected with persistent malware, and in turn possibly compromise all networked equipment to similar/worse malware infections.
Instead of upgrading DD-WRT to latest version and having a working router with all known security issues patched, updated drivers and updated libraries and other 3rd party components and being assured that future modern firmware would ensure longer live to this device and some peace of mind, pizu does the device and himself a disservice instead.
The ill advised decision made to return to stock firmware that uses SEVERELY outdated kernels, outdated 3rd party libraries and components that have not been patched for any security issues in years since its EOL, was the solution for the OP just because the lack of OpenVPN in DD-WRT for this model.
If George Carlin would be alive today, he would have 60 minutes of hilarious content to shout at pizu.

It is likely the misconception that all DD-WRT supported routers offer VPN that was at play here (as I have seen numerous times in the past 4 years because people don't do enough research and reading). Not saying that I support using stock firmware outside of carefully patched and modified versions... which is a real pain in tha a$$ to accomplish, but not impossible. Still waiting to see what vendors do about the uClibc/uClibc-ng debacle, if anything at all. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
