R9000
Firmware VersionDD-WRT v3.0-r48897 std (05/18/22)
Kernel VersionLinux 4.9.312

Previous/Reset: Yes
Mode/Status: AP, didn't even finish initial config
Issues/Errors: Yes

Upgraded from r48886 to r48897 with reset. Using a LAN connection, after firmware loaded it would crash when going to the wireless tab and graphics at the top truncated. Browser says "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED". The connection will recover after 20 seconds or so but was not reliable. Reset to defaults again, same issue.

Tried to downgrade to r48786 (with reset) and although it said it completed the firmware update it ended up unresponsive. I think it lost connection again during the flash. I used TFT to recover with r48786 and all is well again.

Doesn't seem to like my R9000

I had trouble with this build on my R9000. The fix was a firmware reset and then setting the configuration manually. Now, the build works smoothly. You may need to do the same. It can be a long process but you wind up with a clean nvram and a working router.
