I believe the original Linksys WRT54G was designed to transmit at a meager 54Mbps. When it's converted to a Repeater via the DD-WRT firmware, is this still expected to be the transmit speed?

I just did a speed test on the Repeater:

Upload: 5.96Mbps
Download: 0.54Mbps

I'm not sure if these speeds are comparable to the "transmit speed". Any thoughts?

It doesn't matter what mode the device is in, its not going to change its limitations or those of the clients connected to it.

What do you expect from a 200 MHz CPU 4 MiB flash 16MiB RAM operating on bg band device, really?

I think you answered my question Joker.

Would anyone know whether there's a DD-WRT firmware upgrade for either of these devices:

• TP-LINK Nano Router (150Mbps Wireless N) Model TL-WR702N

• Hawking Wireless-G Range Extender: Model HWREG1

Neither of those is currently supported. Generally speaking, if it's not listed in the Supported Devices Wiki or there isn't a blatant clue that it's supported in the downloads folders, then it's not supported.
