3. Set WAN port assignment to VLAN2
4. reboot router

You may have degraded throughput. You don't know which CPU ports lan and wan is on.

Yes I do.
The WAN and LAN still have the same dedicated CPU ports with the difference that they are now tagged.

how this should lead to reduced throughput is a mystery to me but good

By default, WAN and LAN have separate CPU ports (Port 0 and 6), which will give you 2G/s combined throughput instead of one.

Changeset 51936 may be of interest.

again the port configuration is still the same with the only difference that both CPU ports are now tagged.

and regarding the commits > https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1281552#1281552

Edit: there are more changes on the way. there should be added an option "enable / disable switch config".

The VLAN changes can now be undone without factory reset.

Very Happy

for all newer build > r52148

The "switch config" tab again got a small update.
Now you can configure the CPU ports so my other post is obsolete.

The screenshot shows the "default configuration"
I will add more examples later.

Simple VLAN 7 tagging on the WAN port.
No other settings are necessary.

two connected WAN ports (works like a 2 port switch in front of the router)

Simple LAN side port VLAN
Port 1-3 are in VLAN1
Port 4 is in VLAN3

By default all interfaces are bridged with br0
But you can assign e.g. VLAN3 to br1 and bridge it with a guest WLAN etc.

(small hint: if the CPU ports are tagged then VLAN interfaces are created automatically)

What happened when you select both CPU Ports?

There could be one column with a drop down where either can be selected.

Unfortunately, I do not understand the question so well.

"What happened when you select both CPU Ports?"

That form let you select both wan and lan cpu port on the same line. I don't know of any case where you want that.

I suggest you change the check bones with radio buttons or a dropdown, so only one at a time can be selected. Do you inderstand know?
