Welcome to Broadcom r48741 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: stracetcpdumpwireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.
Router: Netgear R7450
File/Kernel: r7450-webflash.bin
Previous/Reset: r48646 std / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / working
Issues/Errors: USB drive shows up as being mounted to sda1 but does not show under the path in the files shares. This was working in the previous build for Samba. Tried going back to previous build but same issue is now happening :/ on the r48646 which was previously working with the Samba.
Wifi clients lose internet after a few hours and cannot access router web GUI. Wifi signal strength remains strong and the router GUI shows the clients as connected. Ethernet clients maintain internet and LAN access.
I have no idea why dmesg is showing wl0 since I have 2.4 Ghz disabled. I only use 5 Ghz (wl1).

Exactly, I assume it is an NTFS formatted partition and those have a habit to become dirty if not unmounted properly and if flagged dirty you cannot mount those.

There is something funky going on with 2G (wl0). 2G clients refuse to make a reliable connection. They pop on, and then they pop off. But they never stay. Some refuse the connection completely. My printer (previously brought to attention) and WDS (found during testing) are the only devices that appear to stay, but the printer is unreachable.
I’ve triple-checked for misconfigurations. And, wireless MAC filter is OFF.
5G (wl1) seems unimpeded.
I believe this issue has been present for the past 2 build at least. _________________ Hardware (Device/Firmware/Roles):
