The TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v 1.5 should have mdns feature now ? I can't found it in services tab.

The only official commit to device configs is for Broadcom, not sure what other devices have this as the configs have not been updated for any other devices officially yet.

Only on routers with enough flash space (and if you have to ask what is enough you do not have enough Wink )

There will be two version the big one which also has the avahi-utils and the small one which only has the avahi-daemon.

The small version will be in the next build and will come to more routers, but I cannot tell you to which routers.

That is for the small version

From my own R7800-config:
Code:
CONFIG_MDNS=y
CONFIG_MDNS_UTILS=y

CONFIG_MDNS will get you the Daemon, CONFIG_MDNS_UTILS will add the utils

I know this; these configs are not added to the public repo(s) yet:

No but Avahi is present already in (some) public builds, it is in my R7800 which is running DDWRT (my own builds have the Community build moniker.

You cannot trust the public config files Sad

Also aware of this. It would be great if they were sync'd 100% of the time.

Thank you BS & Devs

I have two R7800's with similar thumbsticks. The thumbsticks have two ext2 partitions. Sometimes the R7800 shows sda as an unsupported filesystem (/dev/sda not mounted Unsupported Filesystem) and below it sda1 and sda2 mounted as expected. At other times, i.e. after other boots, it shows just sda1 and sda2 mounted as the expected extx partitions.

I think the difference is in the way the router is booted, either by GUI command or by cutting power and restoring. It seems to me the R7800 remembers that the thumbstick was mounted before and acts on that. I could be wrong, though.
For the rest it seems to make no difference.

What does cause problems is the fact that sometimes cutting power to the router and restoring it causes the file system of the partition mounted as JFFS to develop a file system error.
In that case writing to JFFS will fail (I keep the client lease DB there) and the partition is shown as 100% used.

You can clear that situation by using the Disks utility on the thumbdrive in Linux on another computer. It will find the error, but say it cannot correct it, yet it is actually corrected and the thumbdrive is fine after that.

The phenomena I described have been present in DD-WRT for a long time.

It would be nice if the firmware would have a function to shut down the router, after which one could remove power without fear of creating an error in the file system of an attached drive.
Removing the drives by SES button is available but I never found out 100% which button that is and what else it has been set up to do elsewhere in the GUI. So never took to the SES button dismount ....

Archer C7 v2 (US)

Two issues:

1) Lost internet connectivity
Steps:
a) LAN -> DHCP Clients
b) Clicking (+) static lease
c) Clicking (+) static lease for a second time (same client)
d) clicking (-) Delete (same client).
e) Router restart
f) lost internet connectivity for all clients (was able to connect to router).
g) Static lease was present twice in configuration file backup.
e) Had to restore to previous backup file to get internet connectivity back.

2)
Disconnected clients under LAN -> Active Clients show as active for extended period of time even though they are in airplane mode.
Clients disappear correctly under Status -> Sys-Info
