I can't get considerable speeds using DD-WRT

The C7 CPU is low end, and the speed maybe build related. Did you see that post:

You may try with a build that was reported as a faster one...
I cannot confirm the speed differences because I do not own a C7
.
Thanks for the feedback!
I have tested several builds, from the old ones from 2017 to the current ones. From experience I got higher speeds with the old builds, about 340 Mb/s at most, but they have some bugs, such as connection drops and the impossibility of connecting to networks. It may have been some configuration that prevented it, as I'm not the only one who uses it, I have to leave it running, otherwise I could test better.
Thank you!

340Mb/s is quite good for your C7 with single core CPU at 750Mhz. What build did you choose that works for your needs and has best possible speed (from the tested builds) ?

Faster ISP connects need dual core 1Ghz+ Hardware or more and faster Wifi hardware...

Sorry, I didn't have time to see and respond.
The 340Mb/s was the average I got using the stock firmware, with DD-WRT I got an average of 280Mb/s. I don't remember which ones, but they were 2019 and 2020 builds of the DD that produced better speeds, but it has bugs that prevent its use in client mode.
I found two routers, a TP-Link C5400 tri band and a D-Link DIR-885L, I know that with triband I will have better speed because I don't need to enable VAP, but the DIR-885 is at a very low value, it's tempting because It's like new and the signal is strong and consistent. I'm in doubt

Recommended: R7800 (XR450/XR500), R7500v2, EA8500 (serial flash), R9000 (R8900/XR700), x86 (J4125).

If you need a quick fix or triband extender see EX7500, EX7700 or EX8000 but only if you do not mind stock.

As already mentioned avoid client and bridge modes, use WDS or good old fashioned Ethernet cable instead.

These models are hard to find here when they are expensive. I found some used from 300 to 400 dollars, in the international market I find new ones for less, but the import tax is high, it rarely goes without tax, but it's like a lottery.
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll do a lot of research.

Out of production prices are inflated. Keep searching for used deals, open box. Avoid refurbished, for parts.

Avoid triband routers for open source, and I only recommended extenders as a quick fix. New build r48741.

I understood. I'm researching, I even deduced that the C5400 would have support, vi no, while dir-885 yes. It is not common to have refurbished here, the ones that are sold are exchanged for others with new technologies, and they often have only a few months of use, they are currently buying with wifi 6 as they want to be up to date.
I just installed the new build, it's great so far. Thanks

The C5400 is not supported by DD-WRT, currently. I presume this is what you meant to type.

I am fairly certain this thing is like the Archer C9 v5 and others and uses a bootloader to load a separate encrypted image with it's own bootloader, but I could be wrong. But more importantly, Broadcom support in DD-WRT is not a high priority.

I'll continue this hunt, meanwhile I must settle for C7, but it seems it's getting better with the new builds. Thanks!
