Hi all,
I have just got my hands on a WRT1900 AC V2, with factory firmware 2.0.8.187766,
I have downloaded multiple versions of the DD-WRT firmware for this model, ( newest first then worked backwards )using the factory-to-ddwrt.bin option.
Firmware uploads and confirms : Firmware Update complete.

Router reboots, but goes back into stock firmware screen not DDWRT screen?.

So i read and did the power off and on 3 times, still boots to stock?

Any help would be appriciated
Cheers

What does the actual label on the bottom of your router say as far as model? Which specific versions? Initial flash likely has to be a much older build from 2017/18.

See Model No. listed on bottom label of the router in the upper right. Ignore all the FCC ID and IC info.

2.0.8.187766 is indeed WRT1900AC V2 so this is another case of factory-to-ddwrt too large over 32MB.

I was having the same issue, and I saw it was because it can't flash a file over 32MB in size which most of the new firmwares are. I went through the archive and found an older one that was below 32MB and that worked, and once it is installed you can upgrade to a newer firmware that is over that file size. Here is where you can find an older build: https://dd-wrt.com/support/other-downloads/?path=betas%2F
