Hi all, I am writing here as I am facing some troubles with dnsleaks on my WRT3200ACM flashed with DD-WRT Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20). My WRT3200ACM is connected to my ISP router (FritzBox) with LAN, internet works, no drops.
I setup with the OpenVPN client the connection with ProtonVPN and it works, the IP changes to the country of chosen, internet works on all the devices.
I also disabled IPV6 and defined the StaticDNS in Basic Setup tab as defined by my VPN provider:
10.8.8.1 DNS1
0.0.0.0 DNS2
0.0.0.0 DNS3
However I am facing DNS Leaks, that I can check using:
whoer.net/dns-leak-test where both PROTON and my real ISP are recognised
dnsleak.com where my real ISP is recognised
So I started googling and found out that
1) in some cases enabling Forced DNS Redirection in Setup->Basic Setup helped preventing the DNS Leaks, unfortunately it didn't work for me
2) in some cases disabling Query DNS in Strict Order in Services->Services helped preventing the DNS Leaks, unfortunately it didn't work for me
3) in some cases adding no-resolv in the Additional DNSMasq Options box solved it, DNS were not working anymore for me on any device.
I attached a couple of screenshot of setting, I am a GUI user - sorry.
Anybody have any idea on how to proceed? I am lost and I spent so much time on this that I am starting to feel a bit frustrated, yesterday I was finally able to setup the vpn but today I woke up with the sad news of DNSLeaks.

Unfortunately you are running an old and no longer supported build.
See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:

It is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest build and *after* upgrading reset to defaults.
Put settings in manually never restore from a backup (to a different build that is)
To further encourage the upgrade, I am running ProtonVPN and the 03-20-2022 build and do not have any leaks. _________________ Linksys: Several WRTxx00AC variations | Netgear: 4x WNDR4500v2, 7x WNDR4300, R6400v1 | Asus: 2x RT-AC66U | Gl.inet: 3x GL-AR150
