I have a peice of equipment on my lan that creates peer 2 peer connections to other devices around the globe. I have been loging the drop and rejected packets in a syslog and noted that I often see the outbound packet dropped by the router (from br0 out towards the WAN) but can't see a reason why. Its not every time the equipment tries to make a connection, just happens randomly. The port and ip at the far end is open but the you get notification in the syslog that the packer is dropped. I assume this isn't normal? Has anyone seen this before , better still know how to make sure packets are not dropped.
