Seem to apply to different kernels, security issue and a malfunction on pipe in special cases.
No clue if dd-wrt functionality is affected a patch is provided

This code only exists in a kernel DD-WRT is currently not using (4.19 and up) AFAIK. I (he) would have to check upstream to follow the bouncing red ball to see if this/these functions were morphed from functions present in older kernels.

Do you have a link with that info ? This may only apply to debian based distros. I found info that 5.8 and up needs that patch, I assumed that some older kernels it is similar. Thanks

Pick one, look through the kernel source trees. The 4.19 kernel tree was merged for future development and has not been implemented yet AFAIK.

Correction, the affected code is not entirely in 4.19 kernel tree, as the function code must've changed after the fact.
