Router: WRT54GL 1.1

I pulled this router out of a drawer from years ago. I believe it had/has a version of DDWRT on it. I plugged it in, all the lights would glow and do nothing. I did a series of 30-30-30 resets.

Now when powering on, the Power light goes on and the Ethernet and Internet lights flash on, then the power light flashes quickly, before resetting the process about every 15 seconds. No DMZ light.

Ethernet 1 shows activity when plugged into computer.

Is this salvageable? I have about 10 tabs open with different threads and solutions, but nothing seems specific to either the GL model or the light flashing situation.


I tried setting my IP to 192.168.1.2 and TFTP firmware onto the router, but it gets no response.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably needs replacement of the electrolytic capacitors, also the power supply might be failing.
