Strange problem with log in.

Hello,

I have a TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND v2 (r48081) configured as access point and when i want to log in in webui and type wrong username or password it doesnt ask again for username or password but the page freezes and doesnt show (401 unathorized page).

It locks you out for ~5 minutes before you are allowed to attempt login again. So, wait 10 minutes, CRTL+F5 or clear browser cache and try again.

Thank you very much for your answer. I think it didn't do it before.

I see the(401 unauthorized page) when i press cancel in sign in but when i type wrong username or password it freezes and doesn't show the (401 unauthorized page).

Would be nice to be able to change that timeout timer (5 being the default out of box).

My vote is for the lack of 401 error page on unsuccessful login (even though it should show in the syslogs) over changing the timer. That serves no purpose other than allowing nefarious beings an easier chance at cracking your password. Saved credentials via browser are problematic, last I knew. It has been well-proven over the past almost 4 years I've been here that impatience creates more unnecessary problems with using DD-WRT than it solves them.

Hmm, I didn't even know about the 5 min timeout. I just close the tab, open a new tab and go to the bookmark for my router.

I believe this is safe to say that this is a security feature and not a bug.
