I have wireguard on two routers, one is the server, which that is all its configured to do, aside from the normal setup, and one is the client. I use the client when traveling to allow me to connect to my home network.

I'm on build 44715 at the moment. Do I need to save the wireguard parameters using nvram show | grep oet. Of course I will save the output. Does that command return all of the wireguard settings? If so, I can use nvram set variable="string" followed with nvram commit.

it was a pain to setup my own server and client on two dd-wrt routers and would like to just be able to upgrade and restore the settings if that is all that I need. If I am assured that an upgrade will result in some minimal changes, I can live with that.

Since backup/restore doesn't do that between builds, I want to be sure I can safely upgrade.

Thanks in Advance

Make screenshots and copy the keys both the private keys and the peer keys.

Does that build already has the private key box?
If not copy the private key from the nvram variable.

Documentation see the link in my signature at the bottom of this post.
