On my Asus RT-Ac5300 im having trouble communicating wirelessly between 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ. If i have my printer on the 5ghz network my 2.4 laptop wont see it. This also happens with my chromecast on my android TV. Anything that is hardwired to my network can be seen from both wifi networks with out issue. Im no network guru by any means but im leaning towards AP Isolation causing the issue and currently it is disabled. Does anyone have a fix or point me in the right direction? I've tried several different versions of the experimental driver but most have severe problems such as poor download speeds via lan, wireless radio issues, and even cause the router to become a brick which i then have to flash back to a working version via the asus utility.

AP isolation prevents wireless clients connected to a given AP from seeing each other, nothing else.
These things are turned off by default, so please learn about what feature does is about before fiddling. Also if you search on web for !dd-wrt AP isolation you will see this has many answers, the type of router matters not the function if present (should) works the same.
Also your build of DD-WRT is very old and unsupported and filled with now patched security issues.
I tried the latest build and the wifi speeds appear to be poor. Ive tried all combinations of wireless channels and extensions channels with the latest build and maxed out at 375mbps. However with the experimental build i am reaching 560mbps via wifi on the vht80 channel width. I was hoping that some one could help identify the issue with out the need to keep flashing back firmware. Maybe theres some sort of custom rule or script i can add to allow my local devices to communicate with everything?
I applied all the same settings you posted to my router but to no avail the speeds were still on the slow side for me. For now, the biggest issue im facing is the fact that I cannot communicate between devices that are on separate 2.4ghz and the 5GHZ SSIDS. Devices connected directly to lan are able to communicate to the wireless devices. Most builds for this router whether its experimental or the regular build cause the 5GHZ radios to not turn on
Ap Isolation has always been disabled by default and was never changed. Which sections of ddwrt would be the most helpful to diagnose such a situation?

What I asked for, screenshots of your wireless radios setup, incluing advanced pages, you feel free to mask what details you consider sensitive as long as the settings you have are clear to see.

Wait, none of those screenshots support the recommended wifi settings I asked you to try, in fact they are just the opposite which means you wont get the best speeds. And such settings as you have are just never going to get you anywhere close to maxing out the radios.
You want multiuser beamforming instead of the beamforming on the how-to, and also the recommended AC/N Mixed for 5ghz and NG mixed for 2.4ghz, also you want to boost the dbi of the aerials say 10db as opposed to 0?
Also when you take screenshots try using ctrl+shift+s, print screen is absurd.

Also please grab a full log into file, not a partial log.
Via SCP or SFTP grab the file /tmp/var/log/messages and save that locally and attach the full (edit sensitive parts out) to a reply.
Also post a screenshot ctrl+shift+s, (not a print screen Im not interested in your desktop just the relevant router web page ) of the Networking tab again take care of editing any sensitive info but keep your settings clear.
I wonder why you have entries i the logs above with STA, and RADIUS entries?
SO its unclear what type of setup you are trying to achieve, it looks to me you been messing around with the wl driver, but I could be wrong.
I know you may find this hard to believe but this build with the settings that I have posted allowed me to achieve 550mbps via wifi throughout an entire 2200 sqft house on the 5ghz band. My maximum ISP speed is 650mbps/24 by lan connection. I have tried several other builds including the most recent original driver and changed all the recommended wireless settings but was only able to achieve ~300mbps over wifi and i tried every combination of extension channel and wireless channel possible. Hopefully the provided information can help determine whats causing the communication issue between wireless bands. Again, thank you to everyone who has taken time out of their day to look into this issue
