Reset - NONE
WDS STA on 5GHz,Ap on 2.4
most services disabled
ERRORS/maybe - Channel Selection is missing from UI on 5GHz Radio, not sure if its because its set to wds or more pervasive
Otherwise looks good - but not being able to change a channel is a big issue. Holding off upgrading other router till i understand if this is a bug or by design.

The WDS AP will dictate the channel selection while the WDS STA gets the channel from the WDS AP during the signal broadcast to the STA...this is inherent in the design and an STA should never be allowed to select the channel. _________________ FORUM RULES

Kernel: Linux 4.9.292 #576 SMP Thu Dec 9 03:09:44 +07 2021 armv7l
Previous: r47720
Update Method: GUI
Mode/Status: AP and Client Bridge (Routed)
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: None. Comment: Resolved - Unusual Internet Access Issue
Great work. Thanks to all who contributed and make this great firmware.
Comment: In the Forum topic "New Build - 12/09/2021 - r47822", I posted that I had a problem with the R7800: Desktops connected to the Netgear R7800 "Client Bridge" have LAN access, but cannot access internet addresses until after the first "DHCP" request.
I was immediately assisted by "egc", "Alozaros" and especially "kernel-panic69" who actually setup a test of the R7800. The "kernel-panic69" test showed the router and DD-WRT functioned correctly. As suspected, I had a configuration issue.
Resolution: "kernel-panic69's" setup instructions and the Client-Bridge Wiki (non-Broadcom) both specified, "set the gateway mode to manual and use your upstream router IP address". Although I was looking at the setting on the DD-WRT "Wireless-Basic Settings" page, I was not able to understand that "gateway mode" meant "Default GW mode", and left the setting at default "Auto (DHCP)". Changing this setting to "manual" and the "Main" router address fixed the issue.
Again, thanks to everyone on this forum for the assistance especially the ones mentioned above.

Configuration: Netgear R7800 (r47900) - Main router; Netgear R7800 (r47900) AP - Remote router connected as 5GHz "Client Bridge (routed)"; Linksys EA6350 (r44213) - Remote router connects as 5GHz "Client Bridge"; Linksys E4200 (r44213)- Remote router connects as 5GHz "Client Bridge" and 2.4GHz "AP"; Linksys E4200 (r42954) - AP (offsite).
Router/Version: Netgear R7800
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r47900 std (12/20/21)
Previous: r47040
Update Method: GUI
Mode/Status: Gateway - fed from ISP Modem/Router combo.
Reset: Yes - but maybe not required.
Setup with: Additional VAP for Guests - isolated (tested confirmed), Wireguard VPN Tunnel and NAS/Samba of 1TB hard drive of movies and music.
Issues/Errors: None.
SOLVED - In previous version I could not get Samba to connect in Android with ES File Manager.
I am still new with this router and all the tricks I am doing with it now. Pretty impressive...
BUT - I am wondering what the PROPER way to turn on/mount/off my external drive. Not sure I want it running 24/7.
Also - confused about what I was reading about the Samba shares and "Access Level" set to Everyone or Restricted.
I am set at "Everyone" and can access with Linux laptop and Android tablet.

File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r47900 std (12/20/21)
Reset: No
Mode/Status: Working
Issues/Errors: Problem with wifi service off. I set the service "SES / AOSS / EZ-SETUP / WPS Button -> Turning off radio Enable and Turn radio off at boot Enabled" but the Wifi is on. In fact, if I try to connect, the connection succeeds. I attach screenshots. The problem is present from the versions I installed (I recently bought the 7800). Led Wifi is on.
