The nvram variable has been inverted. Or rather the logic in the function. 1 is enabled, 0 is disabled. Which is backwards. I just flashed 47900 alpha, and it's enabled by default, but probably because I had been checking to see if it worked without the webUI feature. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Hmm. It was enabled by default on my TL-WR1043NDv2 and TL-WA901NDv2, but I think I had been testing to see if it worked via nvram manipulation with setting the var by ifname to 1 which was "disabled" on Broadcom in the past. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

So you have converted your routers OS to DD-WRT in this hypothetical scenario using your Samsung/iPhone mobile device?
And completely missed the pin hole reset button on the pretty much all home routers.
Interesting, lets play hypothetical! Devil's advocate says.
This hypothetical household is very likely a crypto mining botnet, or is infected with banking trojans, or malicious apps going after the crypto wallets, because this is what malicious actors are interested in, it's a fact just go read security news.
Malicious actors don't care about Mr. average Joes porn folders, this is true! so your porn stash is safe!!
So in this hypothetical, webif via wireless access being disabled is a smart move.
Do I understand correctly that in future builds I will have to connect via cable to enable access to WebUi? What if I only have mobile devices in my house? Need to borrow a laptop if I want to do a factory reset? Amazing...
In openwrt, it is always disable for security I guess, and it seems ok for the community, just saying
my problem was not about that in that thread, finaly it was about dnscrypt-proxy2......
