I just bought this two of these unit (one as a router and the other as bridge) and now my entire (4000sqft) house gets 90 - 100Mbps down WIRELESS speed without DD-WRT. These units are solid!

I am thinking about buying the plus version to be used as an acces point:

https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC1200G-Plus/

As it has gigabit ports and I can find it for a reasonable price in spain. However, I have some doubts, which I don't know if someone can answer (@mominn8266?):

-How is the wifi range?
-IGMP snooping (both in LAN and WLAN) in asuswrt works correctly?
-Will it be compatible with dd-wrt? It already has asuswrt so it should be possible, right?

Thank you for reading me!

About support dd-wrt, i do not known how to deal with:

SoCs BCM47189 the first to integrate a 2x2 802.11ac radio on a single chip with a CPU and Ethernet switch, which reduces cost while delivering the powerful benefits of 5G WiFi to the entry-level segment.

I don't think it will have dd-wrt support as it is a Broadcom device. However, as you already have it, could you tell me about wifi range and wifi N performance in 2.4Ghz? It uses same platform as RT-AC56U and I have read several complaints about really low performance (and nowadays most of my gadgets still use wifi N @2.4Ghz)

Thanks!

Would like to encourage the development....
The stock firmware is buggy to say the less...

Hi, any news?

Asus firmware has gone from bad to worse.
I had to downgrade from version 3.0.0.4.380.3971.
