All i get is a bootloop....
I dont think he made it with any DDWRT flash yet...or at least he was not very clear what was successful and what not...the only thing clear is voxel was ok ..!
Not long ago i had same drama with a friends second hand R7800, nothing form DDWRT was able to flash...
via tftp of pale-moon
I also had the same with R9000, BS factory build i tried was no go, so i flashed with last Kong and i have odd mac's but i can live with it...as i can adjust those via nvram commands _________________ Atheros

Wasn't the badblocks issue fixed, shouldn't 47822 flash?
As mentioned on my xr500 a few weeks ago, the bad blocks are skipped when installing, but for some reason, it's unable to mount rootfs. Maybe it's looking where rootfs should've been if there weren't bad blocks? BS thought it might be a size issue, but the issue remained after he decreased the build size. I played around in U-boot a bit too much on the xr500 and may have accidentally killed it, but I now have an xr450 with the same issue. A fix would be great, as bad blocks seem to be relatively common on these routers, but I also realize it really is a HW issue.
This is exactly what happened with mine, so I had hooked up serial to confirm the issue. This is how I found out it has a kernel panic when it can't mount rootfs. It then tries to reboot. I'm guessing if you leave it on, every so often all LEDs turn on for a second or 2. This is the reboot after the failure.
Stock & Voxel (based on stock) detect and work around bad nand blocks. DD-WRT skips these bad blocks and flashes successfully as well, but fails to fully boot due to the above reason. As to why devices with bad blocks don't mount rootfs, I'm not knowledgeable enough at this point to figure it out. I would guess it's related to the rootfs location changing slightly though.
