In another post I've been having trouble with a USB modem. In my searching I've come across mini pcie cards that take sim cards. Before I purchase one, would this be something that would work? I may purchase one to try anyhow.

Not sure if mini-PCIe cards are listed in the wiki for mobile broadband. There's probably information someone else could be more helpful with in your other thread.

I was just thinking the router may see it as a Wan device on the pci slot like the nic.

May have better luck that way, but I don't know what specific peripherals are supported without looking deeper.

25 bucks for a used Verizon compatible one. I'm going to order it and post my findings. May be an option for non working modems.
