I need hand holding (I’m sorry, but I’m still not super familiar with linux/unix commands, although I can work the CLI pretty well). I can’t even figure out how to list the partitions after SSHing into the router.

I have DD-WRT installed on a 250GB SSD, and at the time I didn’t create a separate partition and just put all of dd-dwrt on the full size of the partition. Now I want a separate data partition for use as a NAS.

Following instructions here:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11167

What seems to work is this:

Absolutely correct. The detailed steps are:
* dd off part 4 into a file
* mount/copy off part 3's contents
* delete part 4, then part 3
* make new larger part3, leaving space for part4
* make part 4 (same size or slightly larger than old part4)
* mkfs.ext2 part3
* copy old part3 contents into new part3
* dd old part4 onto new part4

How do I do this?

It might be easier to connect the drive to a linux box and use gparted to re-size partitions, etc. Not sure if you can do anything with partitions for this on Windows, considering the filesystems involved. Caveat emptor.

Let me repeat the link so it's more visible:

https://gparted.org/

There's documentation on their site, as well as a live CD image you can use if you don't run Linux.
