Hi,

I have just received the new XR500 and I would like to find out
whether switch to DDWRT build 47618 is safe and possible without bad blocks and brick.
I read the install guide for flashing.

Result of command dmesg
Code:
root@XR500:/# dmesg

Is that from the stock (DumaOS) firmware? I don't see anything in that which applies to the question. The only way you are going to find out if you are going to have an issue is to have de-brick means available and go ahead and flash DD-WRT. Which build you flash depends on intended use, especially IRT features like Samba.
