Hello: this seems to be random.
Sometimes out of the blue, I wouldn't be able to access the gateway to my WebGUI (aka 192.168.1.1). However, I was able to browse the net just fine. Why is that the case?
I am running 47656 on my R6400 and EA6900 without a problem
Coming from an old build a reset to defaults after upgrading and putting settings in manually (never restore from a backup to a different build number) is recommended.
And also, when searching for any router - MAKE SURE IT'S THE MOST RECENT BUILD!! The one I search for "R7000" doesn't show the most recent build - please inform the admin about this.

If you are searching the router database page, we know it's not the most recent build. Read the FR&G that @egc posted, and there is a screenshot of the page that shows the disclaimer that was added that was obviously overlooked. We have no control over the router database, and the database only gets updated when an agreed upon stable build is found for ALL supported devices. That's something we cannot change. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Understood. However, rookies might overlook a lot of things, including nubs. So, keep this in mind.

You are preaching to the choir, here. And people will complain until they are blue in the face, and the answer will always be the same. This is why there are announcements, stickies, wikis, etc. and people should engage their brain and read instead of TL;DR'ing. There is no quick and easy anything here. And we do not have the power to change it, and it probably won't change anytime soon. Take it under advisement, move forward.
FWIW: I was told many years ago to find a complete reference, read it cover to cover, read it until I thought I knew what was going on, and keep reading. And that is the de-facto reality when it comes to anything technology-related, especially Linux, UNIX, BSD, etc. If you don't like to read and research, then you are going to have a hard time. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I've been rebuilding my r7000 into a dedicated AP, and I had a weird bug where the HTTP GUI starts throwing weird errors mid-session. I was able to work around it by opening a new incognito session to reconnect, and I haven't seen the problem since I finished all of the setup.
