Hey guys,
I managed to setup the wireguard-Server on my AC68U (DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20))

My Setup is LAN-to-LAN

Mainrouter: (192.168.7.1)
- has Internet
- DHCP enabled
- Port 51820 forwarding to 192.168.7.2

Accesspoint: AC68U (192.168.7.2)
- DHCP disabled
- Wireguard-Server enabled
- exact Setup like: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireguard

Everything works fine. Connection is fine via Wireguard's Notebook-Client or Android-App.
I can ping, access any Device 192.168.7.x
I can Access the Samba-Share on the 192.168.7.1, or the share of the Windows-PC (192.168.7.77)
I can ping 192.168.7.2

BUT except the Samba share on the DD-WRT
NET USE "\\192.168.7.2" "*" /user:"Samba-User"
fails....

It works fine when using the OpenVPN-Server.

You have any ideas?

@dtvaxn

The build you are running is obsolete and unsupported, newer builds have had Wireguard fixes amongst others fixes.

Consider upgrading your Asus RT-AC68U to https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2021/11-18-2021-r47656/

Don't forget to reset your nvram from such an old build before making the upgrade.

In any case not that there are several reports of samba setups not working in current builds.

Sorry I dont have anything more pertinent to add here as I dont personally use either.

Perhaps though you will have other replies.

Have a nice weekend.

@the-joker is right newer builds should deal with that.
So upgrade first and report back

Page 18 of the WireGuard Advanced setup guide:
Quote:
If you use builds after 47171 you can skip this step as ksmbd will listen on all interfaces which are present at boot up.

If you do not want to upgrade read further how to have ksmbd listen on your desired interfaces

The proper way to setup is also mentioned in the wiki but you probably missed it:

THANK YOU GUYS Smile))
I just upgraded to the latest Build from your link and everything works fine now. You just saved me hours from testing and searching!! thank you soooo much.

I didnt even know, that there are newer Builds available Sad
I just looked at the Router Database and there was only the version from 2020-11-03.
But why? hmm.

I will save your link for later use.

Have a nice weekend! you guys are the best.
